Meet Our Community Ambassador
Joyce Jordan | Community Ambassador
Born in Clarksdale, Mississippi, Ms. Jordan earned her B.S. in Elementary Education from Mississippi Valley State University. After five years teaching in Mississippi, she brought her mission to Chicago — teaching at a local Catholic school before joining Michele Clark Public School, where she earned her Master's in School Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University.
After more than 10 years as a school counselor, Ms. Jordan retired in 2014 — and kept right on working. Today she serves as Community Ambassador for Rising Stars Tees, still substituting in classrooms and advocating for the next generation.
A proud mother of two and grandmother of four, her work is guided by one conviction:
"Our youth are our greatest resource, and I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to work with them."
